Service Overview

## What This Work InvolvesAnd Who It Is For
The bathroom is usually the first room in a house that stops working. Climbing over the side of a bath, twisting in a tight space, reaching taps that are hard to grip, none of it is obvious until it becomes the reason someone needs help with something they have always done alone. A well-planned bathroom adaptation gives that privacy back.

We fit wet rooms and level-access showers, replace baths with walk-in baths or walk-in showers, raise or reposition toilets, and fix grab rails where they are genuinely needed rather than scattered around the walls. Every layout is set out against the person who will use it: their reach, their transfer, whether a carer needs room beside them and whether a wheelchair or shower chair has to come in.

This is proper building work. Floors are graded and tanked, walls are reinforced before boarding so rails and seats hold, and drainage and electrics are set out correctly rather than worked around. The finish is a domestic one, tiled, warm and pleasant to use, not a clinical room bolted into a family home.

Every bathroom starts with a free, no-obligation visit to the property, because a room this tight cannot be planned accurately over the phone.

How We Support You

## The Care We PutInto Every Detail

### Washing on your own again
A level entry, a seat at the right height and rails where the weight actually goes give people back a routine they can manage alone.

### A room that feels warm, not clinical
Slip-resistant floors and support rails come in finishes that suit a family bathroom, and that is what we specify.

### Space for help when it is needed
Where a carer assists, the layout leaves room to stand alongside rather than squeeze past.

### Built to hold
Rails and seats go into timber, resin anchors or plywood pattressing fitted before the walls are closed up.

Our Process

## How We Take ThisFrom Call To Completion

01
### Assessment visit
We look at the existing bathroom with you, measure reach, transfer and turning space, and talk through how washing works now.

02
### Layout and written estimate
You get a clear scope: what is removed, what goes where, drainage and electrical changes, and the cost.

03
### Strip out and protection
The room is cleared and the route through the house protected before any dust is made.

04
### First fix
Drainage falls, pipework, wall reinforcement and electrics set out for the new layout.

05
### Tanking and finishes
Tanked floors and walls, slip-resistant covering, tiling, sanitaryware and rails fitted.

06
### Walk-through
We check heights and reaches with the person using the room and adjust anything that is not comfortable.

Benefits

## What You GetOnce The Work Is Done

### Level entry
No step, no lip, no bath side to climb over.

### Set to the person
Seat, rail and control heights taken from the individual, not a catalogue.

### Drains properly
Falls formed in the floor so water goes where it should and stays off the rest of the room.

### Safe underfoot
Flooring specified for wet, barefoot use rather than picked from a showroom board.

### Easy controls
Thermostatic, lever-operated controls that work for hands that no longer grip well.

### Finished properly
Tiling, sealing and decoration completed so the room looks like part of the house.

In Detail

## Materials, MethodsAnd The Situations They Suit

### Wet rooms and walk-in showers
A wet room removes the tray and the threshold completely: the floor itself is graded to a drain, tanked below the finish, and covered in a slip-resistant sheet or tile suited to bare feet. That means a shower chair or wheelchair can be pushed straight in, and there is nothing left to trip on.

A walk-in shower is the lighter option where the floor structure or the budget does not suit a full wet room. A low-profile tray with a gentle ramped entry, a wide opening and a fold-down seat gives most of the benefit with less structural work.

Either way we fit a thermostatic valve with a scald limit, a riser rail with a detachable head so the water can be brought to the person, contrasting grab rails, and where it is wanted, an emergency pull cord.

### Walk-in baths, toilets and rails
Some people want to keep bathing rather than switch to showering. A walk-in bath with a sealed door and a built-in seat makes that possible, and we fit them with the plumbing and floor support they need, including the extra load a full bath places on the structure.

Toilets are often the quiet problem. We raise or reposition the pan, add a supportive seat height, and reinforce the wall for drop-down or fixed rails on the transfer side. Where space allows, we set the toilet out so a wheelchair can come alongside.

Grab rails are fixed where the load actually goes: at the entry, at the transfer, and where someone stands up. Fitting them into plasterboard alone is the most common fault we are called out to correct.
